Pre-K Framework Handbook (Pre-K FH)

Pre-K Framework Handbook (Pre-K FH) is a 30-hour course designed to train early childhood professionals in the use of the Arkansas Early Childhood Education (AECE) Framework Handbook. Pre-K FH training helps teachers use this document effectively. Also included is training on curriculum, knowing children, classroom environment, topics of study approach, planning and implementing activities, family and community involvement, assessment and observation, and professional ethics. This basic course provides the foundation for literacy, math, science and social-emotional learning. Honeycutt (2008) determined those Arkansas ABC teachers who attended Pre-K Framework training had higher ECERS-R scores than those who did not attend.
