Child Development: Three to Five

Caregiver Certificate

The goal of this course is to improve the quality of care by training caregivers in the development of the child from three to five. Objectives of the class include understanding the needs of children, recognizing ways play promotes development, observing children, and exploring the development of the preschooler. Upon completion of this training, caregivers will know what to expect from preschoolers. In addition, caregivers will have the skills and techniques required to care for them within a safe and stimulating environment.

Lessons consist of: Concepts in Child Development, The Three Year Old, The Four Year Old, The Five Year Old and Inclusion

Total class hours: 15
