This course is designed to improve the quality of care by training caregivers in planning and developing creative activities that are designed to aid children as they grow cognitively, socially, physically and emotionally. This course is structured around creative activities in the following curriculum areas: Language Arts/Dramatic Play, Math/Science, Art, Music/Movement and Cooking/Nutrition. The training will consist of setting up developmentally appropriate learning environments and on planning effective techniques to address the different learning styles of young children. Upon completion of this course, caregivers will have a knowledge base and hands-on experiences necessary to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities into the daily curriculum plan.
Lessons consist of: Creative Play, Language and Dramatic Play, Art, Music and Movement and Math and Science
